In response to a request from the CMP in its decision 8/CMP.7, the CDM Executive Board approved the voluntary tool for describing sustainable development co benefits of CDM project activities and PoAs at its 70th Board meeting in November 2012. The meeting report notes that the Board took note that the voluntary tool will be available for use by project participants and coordinating managing entities in 2013 and that the secretariat will inform the Board and the public when the voluntary tool is operational. However, information about whether the tool is available for use by project participants and operational has not yet been made public.
