Las 95 organizaciones firmantes de 31 países desean expresar su profunda preocupación en relación al proyecto MDL No 3197 situado en el Valle del Bajo Aguán, Honduras. A partir de la información obtenida por parte de organizaciones nacionales e internacionales de la sociedad civil, de derechos humanos, de las Fiscalías de Tocoa y Trujillo, la Fiscalía Especial de Derechos Humanos y mediante pronunciamientos públicos de otras instituciones del Estado, así como reportes de medios locales y nacionales, se consta una situación grave de violencia contra comunidades campesinas, violaciones severas de derechos  humanos y la impunidad de los perpetradores.
