This submission is in response to a call for input from the Article 6.4 Supervisory Body on the annotated agenda for its 22nd meeting. It fouses on the conflict of interest issues in agenda item 3.1 of the Annotated Agenda. Carbon Market Watch requests that the Supervisory Body address systemic conflicts of interest by requiring that experts serving the Supervisory Body not be nominated if they are affiliated with companies or organisations that are market actors, since such affiliations give them a direct financial interest in the outcomes.
