The first cooperative approaches under Article 6.2: A civil society review

17 June 2025 | 10:30-11:45 CET | In person

Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB62), World Conference Centre Bonn, Germany

* accessible for accredited UNFCCC observers who have a badge for SB62

Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement allows governments to exchange emissions reductions. As the first carbon market trades under Article 6.2 emerge, it’s crucial to complement the formal review process with a civil society assessment. Carbon Market Watch’s side event will explore whether the 6.2 framework contains sufficient safeguards to protect human rights and meet our Paris Agreement commitments.

This event is organised in the framework of the Bonn Climate Change Conference (SB 62), which runs from 16 to 26 June 2025.
