Description: As billions of carbon credits accumulated over the past decade threaten to undermine the Paris Agreement, the risk of creating new “hot air” units as a result of weak targets is growing.

This side event will discuss the risk of past and future hot air credits undermining the environmental integrity of the Paris Agreement through Article 6 as well as solutions to prevent it.
