Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Best Practices in Local Stakeholder Consultation in the CDM and other Climate Mitigation Mechanisms, Maritim Hotel, in Bonn – 11 June 2014.

In Warsaw, the CDM Executive Board was tasked with collecting and publishing best practices for local stakeholder consultations and provide technical assistance for the development of guidelines for local stakeholder consultation upon the request of a government. At this side event, experts will discuss progress on this mandate as well as the role of local stakeholder consultation in the CDM and other climate mitigation mechanisms, such as REDD+ and the Green Climate Fund.

The side event is jointly hosted by Carbon Market Watch, the Centre for International Environmental Law and the UNEP Risø Centre.
